Happy = A client of mine had her baby this morning. Great birth! Beautiful baby! Good lesson on patience with a placenta.
Sad = I cheated on my diet. I missed my lunch and afternoon snack since I was at the birth. By the time I left around 3:30 I was getting a little famished. I did, however, try and stick to it a tiny bit. There was a Panera Bread close by so I stopped in there.
1/2 tuna on honey wheat with mustard, lettuce, and tomato
small cup of chicken noodle soup
1/2 an apple
1/3 of a M&M cookie
After my oldest daughter was done with youth group she wanted to get something to eat at Panda Express. I had 3.5oz of the mandarin chicken. Chicken = good. The sodium the chicken has been soaking in = not so good. ;)
I checked my ketones a while ago and they are pretty low. That tells me that my body isn't using much of the fat stores today. Which tells me that in the morning I won't expect to see much in the way of weight loss. But I'm ok with it. Being at births takes a lot out of you physically and mentally. I hadn't eaten in several hours, I needed to eat, and I was careful with the choices I made. I figure that's better than cheating with pizza or all the other stuff I was craving. ;)
To wrap up the first week, here are my weight stats (I may do measurements tomorrow):
Starting Weight: 151
End of Phase 1 (Loading) Weight: 152.8
Day 7 Weight: 147.2
Total Loss for Week 1: 5.6 pounds
