- I did surprisingly well last night at our family get together. Lots of yummy food but I didn't cheat. Turns out one of my mother-in-law's cousins has been doing the HCG diet too! Her trip here cut into her third week on the protocol so she's been off of it a bit while traveling. We chatted a bit which was nice. She's lost 15 pounds in two weeks. Very encouraging!
- I'm not going to list today's menu. It's been weird...as in off what I had planned out. BUT I've been eating and will get the 500 calories by the end of the day. Water has been harder to get down today, mostly because we were out doing some shopping. So #1 I was busy and #2 I didn't want to drink a lot and have to make 57 trips to the restroom!!
Tonight I'm having probably my tastiest meal of the week. On Tuesday night we had steak so when I was preparing them I went ahead and measured out 3.5oz portions to grill and refrigerate. I decided I was tired of chicken and didn't really want quinoa with tomato, so I pulled out a steak portion. I warmed it up in one teaspoon of coconut oil and a little salt and pepper. When it was almost done I threw in a handful of spinach. YUM!!!!!!
- It seems that most people are counting weight loss from the end of the loading phase. So I'll start adding that in to my progress. So...drumroll please....

Day 6 Weight: 147.8
I haven't noticed much change (and of course it's only been four days since I started the VLCD). But I put on one of my denim skirts this afternoon and where I usually button it wasn't tight fastening the button. :) So I'll take that as progress!!
