I also did measurements this morning for kicks and giggles. From the measurements I got, I've lost more inches. So that's nice.
Yesterday was a splurge day but not on purpose. At lunch I had a turkey burger planned. Then I realized that the turkey burgers that I had grilled to have ready to go were in the freezer. I couldn't do chicken because that's what I had planned for dinner and you aren't supposed to have the same protein for lunch and dinner. I didn't have any other protein options other than quinoa and fish. The thought of both made me want to puke. All I could think about while I was standing there in the kitchen was how amazing a PB&J would taste. So I made a half sandwich and had a small spoonful of cottage cheese. Then I decided that while I was having that, I'd go ahead and have 1/2 a chocolate chip cookie that the girls made the other day. It was all heavenly!!!!
Then dinner time rolled around. I KNEW I had one more piece of grilled chicken in the fridge that I was going to pull out for dinner. I guess not. :( Thankfully for the family I had BBQ chicken legs in the crock-pot. So I was able to still eat chicken, just with a little BBQ sauce with it. I stuck to that and my strawberries. I finished that up with a Hershey's Kiss. ;) To which my 11yo announced, "You're cheeeaaating!!!!" To which I replied, "I don't caaaarrrrrrre." :p

So yeah, yesterday was a bust. BUT having those little splurges helped get me through the day and I'm ready to stick to the protocol (for at least a few days LOL!!!!!).
I decided yesterday that I am going to go at least until Tuesday with the HCG. On Tuesday I will have been on the HCG for 30 days. Then 30 days on the VLCD (you stay on the VLCD for 72 hours after the last HCG dose because you are getting the HCG out of your system) will be next Friday. If my weight continues to be < .5 lb losses or stalls, I'm moving on to Phase 3 Friday morning. Because I am so close to my goal weight and I'm really feeling done with the food restrictions, I need to be done. I was going to see where I was next week weight-wise and then maybe go one more week for the full 40 days but I'm done.
I'm content with my "new body" but would like to loose a bit more in my hips/tummy. I know that if I watch my portions, avoid gluten, save one or two days on the weekend for splurges, and walk in the evenings I can loose the rest on my own. I know I can because earlier this year I lost about seven pounds in about a month by doing those things.
So there you have it.
