The Snowpocalypse: Day 2

Those of you who aren't from here or if we are friends on FaceBook, just ignore this post.  You're snowed in too or you've seen these pictures on FB, so this isn't a riveting blog post for you.

We are snowed in.  Thankfully we didn't get much ice before it changed to snow. But since it did change to snow quickly, we got a lot of it!!!  We haven't done an official measurement but my best guess is that at our house, we got 16".

This is what we woke up to.  Note the little red chair on the porch.  I had to take these pictures from the front window because we couldn't get the front door open.

A couple hours later Big Daddy went out to shovel a walkway from the front door to the driveway and then shoveled the driveway.

A couple hours after that.

I need to get a picture in the sunshine because it's really pretty!  But here is our backyard during the snowstorm.

There has been some traffic on our street.  However, today the people across the street tried getting their truck out and it wasn't successful.  I don't have to go anywhere until Saturday so hopefully by then we'll have a better path in the street.

We've enjoyed being snowed in.  :)  Most people are getting cabin fever and are tired of being stuck in the house with their kids.  We are all home during the day regardless of 16" of snow or not so this isn't out of the ordinary for us.  School has gone on as usual.  We've baked some goodies.  The girls have worked on crochet projects.  Usual stuff around here.  Sure, I'm looking forward to being able to leave the house but I'm not on the verge of insanity because we are stuck in the house.
