Random Ramblings

It appears Tuesday is the day that this blog gets updated.  Interesting.

Our new school schedule is going well.  The kids and I talked and decided to drop Tapestry of Grace.  Whaaaaaaat????  Yes, it's true.  Love the curriculum.  So many options.  Just not getting it all done and feeling like we aren't really studying in depth and learning anything.  Instead we are going to choose topics, time periods, people, etc. and really study them.

Still waiting on babies.  It appears that one will arrive sometime late tonight or early in the morning.  Another is starting to brew a little so it may be soon for her.

We are the proud new owners of this:

A 2007 Yukon XL.   I.  LOVE.  IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Love it.

For a while now we have been looking at what might work for our family.  The Buick we had was way too small for us and had about eight inches of cargo space.  We settled on wanting one of these.  This was kind of dropped in our laps and we took the leap to get it.  One of the deciding factors was they gave us what we owed on our Buick.

I just love driving it.  I was worried about feeling like I was driving a tank but it doesn't feel like that at all.  And the kids are thrilled to have more room!  But the best part....there is cargo space!!!  I got groceries and everything fit back there.  Not a couple bags and then the rest piled in the front passenger floor and seat.

Have I mentioned how much I love this vehicle???

Why the hell did I have to vote today on a state question to not use Sharia law?????  Seriously.  "It makes courts rely on federal and state law when deciding cases."  I can not put into words how much it angers me that we actually had to vote about that.  The fact that it is even a question to consider is appalling.  However, I have a feeling that her in the Bible Belt that won't pass.  If it does, I might consider moving to Siberia.  Well....maybe not quite yet.  I might save that relocation plan if Obama gets re-elected.
