We've been starting to feel the stirrings of change for a while. Feeling ready to start looking for a bigger house. So with the help of Kev's mom, who is a realtor, we've started looking.
Sunday she called and this is one of the houses that came up. There weren't many pictures with the listing but it said it was FIVE bedrooms! We met at the house later that afternoon to look at it. I was curious how big the bedrooms were since it had so many. She called me as I was almost there and said, "Ohhh..it's really a mess. You may not want to waste your time coming out." But I was almost there (it's not far from where we live now) and wanted to see what the neighborhood was like and see the house for myself.
She wasn't kidding. It is in need of A LOT of love. Including a major repair to the roof in the front that is over the master bathroom. Yes, that's what the tarp is there for in the picture. It desperately needs new flooring (some needs to be done to live in but some can wait). It needs new paint. It needs a lot of new paint.
But we love it!! There is SO MUCH space! The bedrooms are a great size (the whole top floor is four bedrooms). It has two full baths (one is upstairs) and two half baths. The living room is twice the size of ours here. The kitchen is much bigger than mine here. My favorite part of the whole house is the mud room!! So dreamy. ;) My other favorite is ALL of the storage! I was telling Kev today that in the kitchen, I would have room for an entire cabinet just for coffee cups!
We may be putting an offer on it on Monday. EEeeeeek!! Because of the size for the price it's at it will most likely go quickly. So we have to move quick. But there are several things that need to fall into place. For one, getting our current house prepared to put on the market. We have some minor renovations to do before we will be able to ask the price we need to in order to break even but hopefully walk away with some money.
If it is not the house for us, I'm fine with that. I know there is something just as good out there for us. But we really do love this one and would be more than thrilled if it does work out.
