We've had a busy weekend updating a couple rooms in our house. It all started Thursday when we repainted our living room. Not long after we moved in we painted it and I hated the color. It was too light (originally we wanted a light color but with a tint of color) and felt sterile. I had been considering redoing it in the same color we did the living room of our old house but it seemed kind of silly. We decided to go ahead and do it because we loved that color so much.

We also needed to paint our bedroom. It's been a lovely shade of primer since we moved in. Not very relaxing or romantic. Yesterday we tackled that project. I loved the color at first. Once it was done I wasn't sure. Now I think I am loving it again. Depending on the light it looks purple, purple-gray, purple-brown, or purple-mauve.

After all that painting every single muscle in my body is sore!!! I'm glad it's done though!

I made curtains for our bedroom today. A while ago my mother-in-law gave me some off-white gauze-like material. I had exactly enough to make into curtains!! My plan was to get them all put up while my husband was working tonight and surprise him. You know, with the fact that I actually used my sewing machine AND that I put up the curtain rod hardware all by myself. Or not. It was a total failure so I am leaving that job to him.
