Just Stuff

- In one week my second born will be 11. Stay tuned for her whirlwind of a birth story.

- I haven't posted much about this here because...well...I have no reason but at the end of February I decided to try and be serious about loosing 30 pounds. We bought an elliptical which I have a love/hate relationship with. It's a great workout but it makes me sweat horribly (which is a good thing) but then I have to go take a shower and I don't always like drying/fixing my hair. So the challenge is trying to figure out when to work out with it. Now that the weather is nice I can walk which #1 doesn't make me sweat and #2 there is a scenery change. So I've been trying to walk more. Last week I bought some 8# weights and the Big Daddy helped show me different things to do with them. So here is a mini Ta-Dahhhh post about my progress:

Starting weight - end of Feb: 160
3/4 - 157.5
3/18 - 155.5
3/23 - 155
3/25 - 154

As you can see I usually don't weigh twice in a week but for kicks and giggles I decided to weigh again today. wow. Not sure how that happened but I'll take it. I've also been doing measurements (which I'm overdue to take and maybe I'll post them later) and have seen changes there as well. I'm hoping that once I'm out of the 150's I'll start seeing changes because so far, nothing seems to have changed other than numbers.

- After what seemed like a dry spell client-wise, we have been quite busy with inquiries!! Fixing the email service that was down for a couple weeks helped some I'm sure. *snicker* I'm still hoping to have a break in August for a couple of reasons. One is a secret and the other is so I can regroup for school starting back up!!

- I am absolutely loving my front garden. I am absolutely loathing the garden moles!!!!! I've been hesitant to plant some of my new stuff in fear that when I go out the next day they will be gone!! Yesterday I went out and my HUGE Mum was half gone. :( I almost cried. So last night I went to Hobby Lobby and bought three spinny flowers (I'm almost positive that is the correct technical name for them). A few years at our old house I had a couple (before my kids destroyed them) and the vibration from the spinning annoyed the gophers enough that they left stuff alone. So I'm trying that here with these moles. I also sprinkled some gopher/mole repellent on my garden in hopes that it would annoy them just as much.

- On Monday my sweet boy is having dental work done. He has two parents and three sisters who are cavity-less. The poor child has SIX!!!!! She will just work on one side on Monday then we'll go back later for the rest. He will have the worse one pulled. :( I'm praying that he does ok with it all. I may have to take some video of him on the nitrous oxide. ;)

- What would YOU like to see me post about on this little blog of mine?????

Congratulations! I need to follow your example. I think I weigh about the same s when Amaya was born. :blush.

I loved the pics of your garden. Sorry about the moles. :(

Poor M! Ariana wound up with a lot of work, and Elena is probably will have to go under GA later this year or early next. :(. Joel is cavity free, thankfully. I hope it goes well for M.

We haven't had moles yet... but we have deer, slugs, and racoons... not to mention scavenging birds of prey and song birds... they can wreak havoc on our veggies and berries in no time! I hope the spinning flowers work. I might try that to keep the birds away from the seeds this year...

Oh do I ever hear you on the elliptical! I only use it if I absolutely don't have anything else I could do. Booooooooring!
