I've spent the last three evenings weeding my front garden bed. By hand. Remember the post below of my front garden beds? The first three pictures? It's all dirt now. Well, except for one tiny little patch of wild strawberries (in the first picture, to the left of the little raised bed). I really really hate those things.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to get mulch. I had one bag left over from last year. It was enough to put around my azaleas, the mums by the front porch, and one of the mystery plants in the front. I went ahead and did that bit in the front garden so I would remember to not step on them or rake over them. ;)
Even the bare dirt looks so much nicer!! I can't wait to finish putting mulch out there!
A few of our seeds came today. The celery, quinoa, and zinna mix arrived. As soon as my order that included the pot maker (not THAT kind of pot!!!!) arrives we'll get some seeds started!! Yes, I'm sure you can make those by hand without spending the money on some little gadget....but I don't want to so I bought the gadget.
Our raised beds are almost done. The Big Daddy just needs to finish up the last one. :) Then to find the perfect spot and arrange a time (and a way) to get the dirt.
