Blog Blahs

I've been feeling completely uninspired to write here.  I guess I could do a quick update post.  Get ready....here we go.

* School is going well.  So far I like Mystery of History for...well...history.

* We did a little updating to our living room:

* A client had her baby last week.  Great birth!!!  Now another break until March.

* One of our fish came to us from the store pregnant (yay us).  She had babies.  In total, 17.  But only 16 of them are still living.  (yay us).  If you squint enough you can see one hiding in this plant.

* Because of the above living room updating, we now have a tv in our bedroom.  I love it.  It's like a hotel.  I can retreat to my room in the evening, sit on my cozy bed with some crochet, and watch tv.

* My oldest is starting the biology section of her General Science book.  This week she learned about DNA. So we made DNA models with pipe cleaners (oh, I'm sorry...chenille sticks) and beads.

* We have started going to a house church (a small group of people gathered in someone's house for worship and sharing).  We love it!  I knew two families who have attended for several years and it turns out we know two other families.  Each week they share a meal and then have a time of worship and prayer.  The children are included (the youngers may go and play after a while when they get fidgety).  In fact, last week an 11 year old girl shared with the group (they had started out talking about thanksgiving and coming to Father with that first instead of other things), "...I was just sitting here thinking about how if we would go to God first with thanksgiving and praise instead of our complaining, all of that stuff we wanted to complain about wouldn't feel so important anymore."  So beautiful seeing God speak through the children.
