Our house is officially on the market!!!
And we are having our first open house this weekend. This weekend is some big national open house hoop-la so my mother-in-law (our realtor) strongly suggested we get ready and do the open house.
I found out about this on Tuesday afternoon.
Between myself, Kev, and my father-in-law...and the kids who did an amazing job cleaning their room...we pulled it together. There are still a few small repairs that need to be done but for the most part, it's done.
So today we packed everyone up (including the dog) and took off to the park. I wasn't sure if we would have many stop by to walk through on a Saturday. But we had four families come and one investor. Apparently one of the families is going to come back tomorrow and look again (and bring her realtor-brother). The only negative comments we got were about the bedroom and hallway carpeting. Which is ick. And which is a PITA to try to replace around bedroom and office furniture while we are living here. If we have a good buyer who is willing to pay full price, we will replace it before closing. So we'll see how that plays out.
If you are a friend on Facebook (which most of you who read this probably are since there aren't many who read this blog anyway..lol), you know we found another house and have seen the pics. But before we can place a bid, we have to have a contract on this house.
So we're just praying that the timing of everything will be perfect, that we'll get what we are asking for our house, and that everything goes very smoothly with no surprises!!!!
