Planning for the upcoming school year is plugging right along. So far I have planned out Science (Biology and Physics), Geography, Art, and Poetry. The only thing left to do with those is as those lessons approach, gather library books, websites, materials, etc. I still have to do History but I need to buy the book first. Then that will leave just needing to buy a few school books for the girls. The biggest purchase will be from Christian Light.
I think I'm going to like the art book I got, Art In Story. I didn't want something that just gave projects to do. That's just time consuming and messy for a small group of kids. I wanted to incorporate an actual education about art and a little art history. This book is just that plus some! They cover art (duh!), history, social studies, science, music....it's great! We'll only be doing the art and history parts of it though (and maybe some of the music).
