I think most of you are on FaceBook with me and know this already but it's been so long since I've posted here I figured it would give me something to blog about. :p

I recently started the Couch-to-5K along with a good friend of mine. Ct5K is a program to get people up off their butt and into a running program. It eases you into running over a nine-week period. About a week before I started I had been trying to get up in the mornings (the only time I have to exercise) to walk/jog. Then I saw my friend was considering doing this program so I said I'd do it with her. :)

Today was my week one...well...Monday. I had a couple obstacles on the other mornings I was supposed to get out. One was the fact that I left my shoes outside the night it rained this week. The other being a visiting Aunt who had me curled up in the fetal position this morning. Yeah..not getting up to run when my entire lower half is cramping. But I did get back out there this evening.

I don't think I'll enter an actual 5K race. The idea of running with a large group of people just doesn't excite me. There are a couple other ladies on a message board I frequent who live in the area who are doing the program as well. We may try to get together at the end and run the 5K. But other than that I am content with my own little run in the quiet of the morning.
