Welcome to Story Time with Gracie!!
I've been meaning to do this for a while but haven't had time to sit down and type it all. Part of Gracie's school work (and the older girls too) is to do a little Journal/Creative Writing entry each day. She has a Primary Journal (aka composition book) that is blank at the top and has handwriting lines on the lower half. I have gone ahead of her and written in a writing prompt. Then we read the prompt and she dictates her story, and I write it on the board for her to copy. When she is done she illustrates her story.
So here are some of her most recent entries...exactly as she has written them. If you know Gracie well these will make you go, "Yep...that's Gracie...she's the wild one."
Families are important because.....
Familes are important because they help you. They love you. God made them special. your family can help you clean up your mess.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
If you could be any animal I would be a horse at the same time [this was copied wrong...she should have written "a horse and a bunny at the same time...], a borse. I like bunnies and horses. A can run and jump at the same time. I think I would look wacky.
Invent the best dessert in the world...
The dessert I would invent is called a Bashulk. the ingredients are sugar, flour, chocolate, and love. you stir the sugar and flour. Then you put the chocolate with it. The last thing you add is the love.
If I had three wishes I would wish for....
If I had three wishes my first wish would be for red, shiny high heels. My second wish would be a kitten. my third wish would be a little pony.
