So tomorrow's the Inauguration.

I am actually excited about watching it. Not so much for the reasons of others who are idolizing this man. But for the simple reason that regardless of who is being sworn in, we have the opportunity to witness history and witness a process that is quite unique to our country. I am also excited because this will be the first Presidential Inauguration that my girls will get to watch and (mostly) understand. Em was just six when President Bush was sworn-in (or should I say re-sworn..lol) so it's not something she remembers.

I was looking today for inauguration activities or lessons to see if there was anything interesting out there. I came across this page that is a guide for the inauguration:

http://inaugural.senate.gov/documents/doc-2009-inauguralmediaguide.pdf

If you wade your way through the bios there is some really interesting stuff! You can see the order of ceremonies and even create (if you have the time and money for all the fancy ingredients) the exact luncheon they will be eating at the Inaugural Luncheon! There is also some really great historical information in there.
