I. Am. So. Frustrated.
One of my errands yesterday was to stop by the Social Security office and apply for a replacement card. On the paper to verify my information I KNOW my address was correct. However, after 4pm when their office had closed, I noticed on my receipt it's not. Instead of "St. S.", it's "St. N.".
I called this morning and was on-hold for twenty minutes. I was told it was too late to do anything because it had already been processed. She told me to call the P.O. and ask if they had any suggestions (which would be helpful if the local P.O.s took phone calls). So I had to call the national USPS number. Thankfully that didn't take twenty minutes.
First he said, "Oh, that will be a problem." But then turned around after clicking on his keyboard and said that they don't show a "St. N." for our address. I had google map'd it while making my way through the USPS automated system and see that if you type on the "St. N." for my city, MY house comes up on google maps (which by the way if you haven't done yet....go to Google, click on Maps, and type in your address. ;) ). If I switch it to the city that address would be in, it changes the street to "N. ### St. E."
So I'm thinking....and praying....that since my city AND zip code are correct, it will come here.
I really don't need any more stress this week. If anything gets screwed up with the whole checking account thing later today I think I'll break down and cry right there in the bank.
