I keep forgetting to post this picture. Kev brought home a huge cardboard box a few weeks ago and the kids made it into a clubhouse. These were the rules:


The bottom right says:
"If you break any of three of the rules at one time you will have to leave!"


This year I planted parsley specifically to see if we would get any caterpillar eggs. All summer I have seen none but have beautiful parsley growing. Yesterday I was watering it and noticed teeny tiny yellow spheres on the underside of some of the leaves. :) FINALLY!!! This morning the little spheres were dark. And this afternoon this is what we have....18 of them!!!



It's a bit blurry since my camera doesn't take great pictures. But, in this picture you can see five of the baby caterpillars. I'm fairly certain they are Black Swallowtails, Oklahoma's state butterfly. :)

Big boxes make the best toys! The caterpillars are so cool. :)
