We have survived the 2008 July Mardel Teacher Sale!!! It was rather exciting this year because I had an actual list of things I needed to get for the kids. A few we need now but others I wanted to buy ahead so I could get the discount. We got:

I'm thinking twice just a little about the HWT book. Gracie has been doing Italic but since she's close to learning cursive, I wanted to switch her to HWT (I don't really like Italic cursive). The book right before their Cursive Handwriting book looked too easy for her. But I'm kind of thinking maybe I should have picked that one up anyway just for extra practice. She still has a bit to finish in the Italic book then we'll see how she does with the HWT Cursive. Thankfully HWT books are pretty inexpensive so if I decide to put her in the printing book it won't be a big deal.
Hopefully the Wipe-Off book will help keep Matthew occupied. Even though it says "Get Ready to Print", it's just a bunch of pictures (but not just any pictures...trucks, diggers, tools..cool stuff!) where they draw lines. He LOVES to write on the white board with the wipe-off markers so I think he'll have fun with this book. :)

It sounds like you were pretty successful at Mardel's. I missed it! I have never been and never seem to know about it until it is over. I really should have gone as I have plenty I need to get.
