Gracie: "Mama, come look at what I did to my bed!!!"

She had taken apart a lei from "Beach Day" at church.
It was strung like party streamers around the bottom bunk.

Me: "Wow! That's really pretty!!"

Gracie: "Yeah....I wanted to celebrate my bed."

Matthew likes me to sing to him when he's going down for a nap or to bed. The usual list is something like, "Little Cottage in the Woods", "Little Bunny Foo-Foo", and "Jesus Loves Me". The other day I decided to add to that..variety is a good thing..and started singing, "Jesus Loves the Little Children" and "You Are My Sunshine". The first time I did "You Are My Sunshine" he just laid back in my arms, staring at me, asking me to sing it over and over and over and over again. Tonight we were laying in my bed and I was singing to him.

Me: *finished singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children"*

Matthew: "I lud dat one."
(Translation: "I love that one.")

Me: "You do?"

Matthew: "Les. Lud de colors. Sing sh-uh-shine"
(Translation: "Yes. Love the colors. Sing sunshine")
