I am very bummed this evening.

The girls and I got all 288 of our 3" squares cut out for our quilt. I was going to do a few and show them how to use the sewing machine. We may do some hand-piecing but they have been excitedly waiting on me to show them how to use the sewing machine. And small straight edges is a great place to start.

So, I get it out. Plug it in. Nothing. :( We finally got the motor to turn. But it was only the motor. The needle doesn't budge. The dial that manually turns the needle is completely jammed. As is the dial that's used to choose the stitch.

I love my sewing machine. I had projects planned in my head that my sewing machine was going to help me with. I had planned on teaching the girls how to use my sewing machine. I know in the grand scheme of things this is a silly problem. But I really love my sewing machine.

What I don't have is money to replace it. :( I'm so sad........
