My Life

I have some time before getting dinner together so I figured I should post here. :)

Our new English books arrived the other day. I'm still trying to figure out a plan for Em but so far it's going well. She falls near the middle to last third of the Level 3 book. But I'm starting her the beginning to review somethings. We're moving through it a bit quickly (i.e. today we went over Lessons 19-22). I'm hoping that we won't have too much time between her finishing this book and when Level 4 is released. When I have time I'll sit down with my calendar and planner and figure that all out. Even if she is, their Writing With Ease text comes out in May so we can do some of that while waiting. I've started Abby with Lesson 4 of Level 1. Again, reviewing some things and trying to do more with copywork and narration.

The birth Monday went great!! I had a heads-up call around 10:40pm Sunday that this Mama might be doing something. Then at 1:45am the midwife called me and sleepily said, "I think we need to hurry." lol Then right after I got on the highway and was getting directions from her (I wasn't able to go to the homevisit for this family so I didn't know exactly where I was going), the husband called and told the midwife that Mama needed to push! So we high-tailed it as fast as the weather would let us. The midwife arrived about five minutes before I did and when she got there, Mama was indeed ready to push. Thirty minutes later the sweet baby girl was born! :) So we are still on our streak of weekend births...we're counting it a weekend since we were home before sunrise Monday morning. LOL And the last three births have been quick!!!

I have been busy making the girls' Easter dresses. I'm 95% done with Abby's, need a different size zipper for Em's and still need to cut out Gracie's (her dress won't take too long because it's the same pattern as Abby's). I decided I didn't want to spend a lot of $ on dresses this year plus, Abby's birthday is close to Easter this year and I need to have $ to do her party and gifts.

That's about it. And I need to go make our dinner and get everyone dressed for church.
