A Belated Blog Post To Say....

HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY EMILY!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have much time to get on here to post Saturday. And I would post her birth story but it's on my other computer that isn't working well lately. :( I thought I had posted it on a message board once but my searches for it aren't proving to be successful.

I think she had a fun party! Some of the girls were awake until 4am. Having cake and ice cream at Midnight will do that to a kid.

I hit the jackpot again at Goodwill Saturday! They were having their 1/2 off sale on clothes, shoes, and purses. We found a bunch of great books (they put out A LOT more than usual since they would be busy with the sale...wish they had that many out all the time), shoes for Gracie ($.99), an Eddie Bauer backpack for Abby (hers..that she uses for library books..was ripping at the seams..so we got a new one for $4), three shirts for Em ($3 total), I got a new purse ($2),...I think that's all. Didn't find any glassware this time. I haven't seen many canisters lately so I'm hoping they put out more...I need some more for my bulk items like rice, pastry flour, beans.

No new doula/midwifery news. Now we're just waiting on our March girls to have their babies. :) I think we have a new client for October. So now I have July and August free. lol So if you know anyone due then who needs a doula.... ;) I should advertise a bit more to do a childbirth class during those months. I haven't taught in a while and I miss it!

School is going ok. Yesterday was unexpectedly crazy. I got groceries, got home and had a call saying we needed to do a postpartum homevisit in 45 minutes. We didn't get home until 2pm, sat down to do school, Em wasn't feeling well so I sent her to bed, and the other girls finished up their book work. We didn't get much done that I was wanting to. So as soon as I am done here I will start a load of laundry and we'll get busy!!

Tonight I am speaking about breastfeeding at the South Tulsa Children's Health and Wellness meeting. I help co-lead it and there are a couple topics I am sharing about this year. This is one and the other will be this Summer (I think) about Natural Birth. I think I have all my stuff together and know what I'm doing.

Guess that's about it for now.
