Another week going by

It's been a good week so far. I'm just disappointed that we haven't kept to our daily routine very well.

I had an interview last night. :) My very first real interview as a doula. I have done a few with the midwife but none where someone is meeting me to potentially hire me. She was very sweet and we hit it off well. She took my contract home to talk it over with her husband so hopefully I'll hear from her either way.

I've been working in the back yard this week. We had some seedlings that are ready to be planted. I cleaned out one flower bed to put the tomatoes in. They don't look very promising right now so I'm praying they perk up and get happy in their new home. I've cleaned out another flower bed in hopes to start a Sunflower House for the girls. I bought some pretty day lilies to put under the birdhouse (which by the way has baby birds in it!!!!) in the backyard. And in a moment of pure weakness, I bought a new rose plant and a BIG pot to put it in. I have two from last year in pots. One got too dry so it's gone. The other was a bit dry but has sprung back to life! I'd LOVE to plant them IN my garden but the gophers eat the roots. :( So I saw this beautiful hot pink rose bush and couldn't resist!! They also had a yellow one that I might go back to get. We'll see. Anyway....I need to get that re-potted as well. I'd have a much nicer garden if we didn't have these darn gophers!!!!!!!!!!
