The TV works!
Dh suggested turning off the power strip that everything is plugged in to. Which I had done already and didn't work. So for kicks and giggles I tried again but left it off. Then I forgot I had turned it off. LOL So after a few hours I remembered and turned it back on. Got the VCR on then clicked the TV.
It sprung to life!!!!!!!!!
I can now join the rest of mankind. I am no longer cut off from society.
